“Nelle Mura del Castello” – Spina

The house provides a home within the walls of a medieval castle.  It has been architecturally designed with rustic charm and modern conveniences.  You can wander the walkways within the castle walls and imagine the generations and lifestyles that went before. This home is, in many ways, the jewel of the castle with 1 entrance from the outdoor parking area and 2 doorways leading from within the house to inside the castle walls.  Also unique to this home in Spina is the large terrace at Piano Terra providing a lovely space for outdoor dining on warm summer evenings or afternoons. On many occasions the lively spirit of the residents can be seen within the medieval walls by the dinner celebrations put on by the community where often 100 or more residents and local visitors feast together in celebration of one event or another. Truly amazing!

The home itself is spacious and comfortable and, undoubtedly, will immediately feel like home.  The first floor (Piano Terra) contains a modern kitchen with custom cabinetry, a pantry, large dining area with an inviting fireplace. There is also, included, a 2 piece bathroom.  The second level (Piano Primo) has a large comfortable living room with another substantial fireplace, a workout space, a laundry room and a room that can be used as a sitting room or office. The top or 3 rd level (Piano Secondo) is where the two very comfortable bedrooms are found. The master bedroom includes a sitting room and is complete with its own 4-piece bath. The second bedroom is set nicely to accommodate 2 persons with its own walk -in, 4- piece bathroom. Also, on this level, there is a small storage room providing ample storage space for keeping those treasured items out of the way for safekeeping.

Spina is a delightfull village with all amenities, including a supermarket, butchers, bakers, chemists, banks, and school. It also holds a number of popular events, especially in the Summer months.

The nearest airport is Perugia which is an approx. 30 minute drive, here there are regular flights from London and other destinations.
